Comprehensive Legal & Regulatory Declaration
1. Corporate Identity & Legal Jurisdiction
Autonomous Academy is an independent, private educational service provider, legally incorporated under the Swiss Code of Obligations and officially registered in the Commercial Registry of the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. The Academy operates strictly as a private enterprise under the constitutional principle of economic freedom (Article 27 of the Swiss Federal Constitution).
2. Swiss Federal HEdA Exemption (Absolute Transparency)
To ensure full compliance with the Swiss Federal Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG) and to prevent any public misrepresentation, Autonomous Academy explicitly declares that it is not a Swiss state university, university of applied sciences, or university college. The Academy, its proprietary operations, and its collaborative frameworks are not accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Council (SAC) and do not fall under the regulatory purview of the Swiss Federal Act on the Funding and Coordination of the Higher Education Sector (HEdA).
3. Exclusivity of Foreign Jurisdictions & Academic Partnerships
Autonomous Academy maintains a global network of partnerships exclusively with recognized international higher education, vocational, and training institutions. To prevent any public misconception and ensure absolute consumer clarity, Autonomous Academy formally declares that it does not partner with, represent, or confer degrees on behalf of any Swiss federal, cantonal, or state university. All of our degree-awarding partner institutions—regardless of their institutional names, branding, or historical roots —are legally established, recognized, and accredited solely under the jurisdictions of foreign sovereign states outside the Swiss higher education framework.
4. The Dual-Policy Governance Framework
Students who enroll in any partner university program through our Zurich center are subject to a strict Dual-Policy Framework. By registering through Autonomous Academy, students are legally bound to comply with the local administrative, operational, and code of conduct policies of Autonomous Academy in Switzerland, concurrently with the overarching academic regulations, grading criteria, and graduation policies of the respective foreign degree-awarding partner university.
5. Absolute Consumer Acknowledgment & Separation of Powers
For specific validated, franchised, or joint academic programs, Autonomous Academy acts exclusively as the authorized teaching, administrative, and student support center in Switzerland. Enrollment through our Zurich facilitation center does not alter the foreign legal status of the degree-awarding institution. By proceeding with enrollment, the student formally acknowledges that the final academic degree is a foreign qualification governed by its respective home country, and that registering through a Swiss-based center in no way implies enrollment in, or graduation from, a Swiss state or federally accredited university.
